Google Docs is an excellent tool for online students to collaborate. This simple word processing tool allows for synchronous and asynchronous collaboration. Using the model of collaborative note-taking students are able to perform many different roles to create a rich set of resources all done on-line. Matthew Lungerhasen talk here about his use of Google Docs in his note-taking assignments.
