Overview

This article summarizes the features and functions of ALEKS software that is based on Knowledge Space Theory. WSU faculty primarily use the mathematics modules within Pre-Algebra and Algebra.

What's ALEKS?

ALEKS is a full-featured web curriculum designed to for both PC and Mac platforms. The ALEKS system assesses users current course knowledge. Student users then can select subject areas based on feedback providing a tailored curriculum based on their areas of need. As student users progress through curriculum the system tracks their progress and shows the content the have mastered. The content areas ALEKS offers can be found here.

Other Resources

Mac users need a Java plug-in to run the ALEKS software. The process for installing this Java plug-in is detailed here.
