How to manage Mozilla Firefox certificate trust issue

Mozilla Firefox is a web browser that works on Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android devices. Some Mac and Windows Firefox users may encounter a pop up window that will state that there are "Certificate Trust Issues" on certain WSU web pages. This can be resolved by following the steps below:

Step 1 – Download the two CA Certs from the links below (right click the link and choose "save link as..."):

http://www.winona.edu/certs/cert.winona.edu_CERT(2).crt

http://www.winona.edu/certs/cert.winona.edu_CERT(4).crt

Step 2– Open Firefox, Click on the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) at the top right and click Options.

Step 3 – Click on the Advanced tab on the left and then click the Certificates menu at the top right.

Step 4 – Click the View Certificates button.

Step 5 – Click the Authorities tab at the top.

Step 6 – Click the Import button & browse to the CA Certs that were downloaded. Select one and Click open.

Step 7 – Check the box next to “Trust this CA to identify web sites”.

Step 8 - Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other CA Cert.

Step 9 – Click OK then close and reopen Firefox.
