Spam is unwanted or an unimportant emails (typically with advertisements) that attempt to solicit users with commercial products. WSU has a spam blocker in their provided email services, but users may still receive spam from various sources.

If a user receives spam in their normal inbox, they can mark it as spam so that it will automatically go to spam from then on. If users subscribe to promotional newsletters from websites or companies (ex. Facebook, Nintendo, Amazon, ebay, etc.) then they may have to click an unsubscribe link at the bottom of their email in order to stop receiving the newsletter spam. Any other questions regarding spam can be answered by calling WSU Tech Support at 507-457-5240.
