My name is Travis Norman, I work in Mobile Device Support & Administration for Winona State University's (WSU) Technical Support Center in Somsen 207. I graduated from WSU in 2008 with a English degree, and I've worked for WSU Tech Support ever since I first started as a student in 2003. I was hired full-time in 2008 and since then I've worked to ensure WSU Tech Support continually offers and maintains the highest quality standards of customer service and support.
As a fellow member of the campus community, I understand first-hand how technology can make or break your day, in fact, it's why I chose to start working at Tech Support. I'd prefer to control the computer versus letting the computer control me! As such, I try to help users understand, learn, fix, and better control their technology so that it serves their various academic and personal needs.
I am a frequent contributor to this MediaWiki, most often assisting with content creation and editing. I am proud of how important a resource this wiki has become, and I enjoy working with our team to ensure that the content stays up to date, accurate, and useful. It takes a lot of work, but we have dedicated student and full-time employees all lending their voices here in a community effort that results in strengthening our campus' use of technology.
