What is AirWatch?

AirWatch is a mobile application that provides:

  • mobile security
  • mobile application management
  • mobile email management
  • mobile device management
  • mobile content management

Why is Winona State Having Student Enroll in AirWatch?

Using AirWatch WSU is able to:

  • push paid apps for free to your ipad
  • automatically setup your email, contacts, calendars, etc
  • track the device if it is lost or stolen - we will not track it at any other time
  • remove apps when you are finished with them in class so you will save space on your iPad
  • push WSU security settings and block/blacklist known malicious apps

  • AirWatch fulfills campus requirement for management of mobile devices
    • Blacklist apps = only the ones that would infect your device/compromise your device
    • WSU has no plan to block the installation of any legitimate apps
