Project Details

  • MediaSpace will be used for a basic introduction video.
  • Weebly is being used as a e-portfolio for featuring and documenting class projects.
  • Moovly will be used for group and individual digital storytelling projects.

What We Will Cover

Introduction Video

For the Introduction Video project you will simply uploaded your recordings to MediaSpace. Directions for uploading your videos can be found at Uploading Video Files to MediaSpace. Once you have uploaded your videos you can post these in a number of places in D2L Brightspace. However, your professor would like you to post your videos to the Assignments Submission forlders and the following link takes you to the directions for do this process.

Storytelling Project

In this project you will be using Moovly to record your animated group videos and upload these videos using the same process as you did for the introduction video with MediaSpace. The Moovly tool is free web based video editing tool that can be accessed by going to https://www.moovly.com and selecting the Login/Sign up for free button. Once you have an account you can learn how the tool work by viewing the following introduction to Moovly.















Submitting Moovly Storytelling Project

Once you have recorded your story using Moovly will need to publish your video and share the URL to that video with your professor in a D2L Brightspace Assignment Submission Folder. The five steps for completing this process are listed below.

Step 1

Log into your Moovly account and go to the video you will be submitting for this assignment. Click on the Publish button below the video and select Publish to Gallery option. This is a publish gallery so you will need to agree to making this video public. You will next see a URL (e.g. https://gallery.moovly.com/video/d6f3625b...) that can be copied to your clipboard and pasted into a Word document (more to come on this in Step 2). Also test the URL in a new browser tab to make sure you copied the entire URL. Note:It is easy to miss parts of the URL as it will be very long.
