Digital Citizenship (using technology appropriately) is a concept which helps teachers, technology leaders and parents to understand what students/children/technology users should know to use technology appropriately. Digital citizenship is the norms of appropriate, responsible technology use.

  • Treats others with respect online
  • Does not steal digital property
  • Understands appropriate use
  • Employs digital learning strategies for independent learning
  • Protects payment information during online shopping
  • Honors rights of others in all online forums
  • Respects all digital citizens’ privacy
  • Avoids addictive digital behavior
