Marketing: Consumer Behavior

  • 2 classes, 60 students
  • Will be in groups of 3

Class Location, Days and Times

  • Somsen 113 @ noon, Somsen 317 @ 2:00 pm
  • M,W,F (Class meets)
  • noon and 2:00 pm

Outline of Project

  • All students will use same type of camera = Flip Video Camcorder
  • Students will film video and audio - 10/20 min video on students opinion/perception of wellness center
  • Students will need to hand in raw data on dvd
  • Movies will be posted to D2L for students to grade each others
  • All raw data must be preserved until end of semester
  • Data to be stored in single format
  • Project due 10/8/2010

Software

  • iMovie (Mac)
  • MovieMaker (PC)
  • PowerPoint slides with voice over

Flip camcorders can be checked out at the Technical Support Center, Somsen 207.

  • Intro to Flip Camcorder
  • Downloading and saving raw data to DVD first
  • Importing data into software
  • Converting data if using MovieMaker2
    • mp4 needs to be converted to .wmv before it can be imported to MM2
  • Raw data can be used in iMovie as is (mp4)
  • Good photography tips
    • lighting
    • closeups
    • tripod
  • Intro to software (iMovie and MoveMaker2)
  • Including PowerPoint slides, images along with video
  • Audio - clear speech audio/background audio/music
  • Go over copyright info if using photos from web
