Printing your Brightspace quiz

This article is intended for instructors interested in using Brightspace Quiz tool for online assessments in their courses.

Overview

The Quiz tool is used by the instructor to create and administer quizzes to the student body.

From time to time, teachers want to print copies of their quizzes for use in special accommodations or as an archive of past testing materials. The Quiz tool in Brightspace does not include a direct mechanism for printing quizzes. This article shows one option for printing quizzes by simulating a print command within Brightspace.

Preparing before you print

• Adjust questions/page so all appear on a single page

Printing a quiz without answers

• Set Show all questions with user responses in submission view
• Preview quiz
• Start Quiz!, click OK
• Depending on your browser, either...
  • Right-click and Select All, right-click Print, or
  • Right-click and Select All, right-click Copy, paste to Word or
  • Print
• Exit Preview
• Clear Show all questions with user responses in submission view

Printing an answer key

• Turn off Mandatory if needed
• Set Show all questions with user responses and Show question answers in submission view
• Preview quiz
• Start Quiz!, click OK
• Scroll to bottom of quiz and click Go to Submit Quiz, then click Submit Quiz, then Yes, submit quiz
• Depending on your browser, either...
  • Right-click and Select All, right-click Print, or
  • Right-click and Select All, right-click Copy, paste to Word or
  • Print Frame
• Exit Preview
• Turn on Mandatory if needed
• Clear Show all questions with user responses in submission view
