Your Minnesota State StarID is the unique identifier you use to access all Minnesota State resources and services. Your StarID is composed of two letters, four numbers, and two letters (e.g. ab1234cd). Once activated, you use your StarID or a simple variation of it (e.g., StarID@minnstate.edu, StarID@go.minnstate.edu) as your username, along with a password of your choosing, to access any campus or system resource or service that requires authentication. Your StarID never expires. It remains associated with you for life and can be used for authentication purposes as long as you are student or employee of any institution in the system.
