Timemachineicon.png Time Machine is an automatic backup program included with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion).

It is strongly recommended NOT to use Time Machine to backup your files.

  • In some cases, students have lost part or all of their data using Time Machine.
  • Because Time Machine is not supported, Tech Support will try only basic methods for recovering data should you encounter a problem.
