You can use your Zoom personal meeting to host a meeting rather than scheduling another meeting and generating a separate meeting link. When you activate your Minnesota State Zoom Pro host account, a persistent, personal meeting session is created for you automatically. Find the link to your personal meeting on your host profile page on the Zoom host web portal.

Your personal meeting is always open

Your Zoom personal meeting session is a recurring meeting with no fixed time. This means it is always available to use for any purpose. It is not a scheduled meeting session. All you need to do is share your personal meeting link and meeting ID with someone and that person will be able to join your meeting anytime.

Activate your host account

Participating in a Zoom meeting and scheduling and hosting one are two different things. In order to schedule and host a meeting, you need to [your Minnesota State Zoom Pro host account]. You do not need to do this if you will just be joining others' Zoom meetings as a participant.

Find your personal meeting link

  1. Sign in to the Zoom host web portal at https://minnstate.zoom.us. Select Sign In and enter your StarID username (e.g., ab1234cd) and password.
  2. Select Profile on the left to open your Zoom host profile page.
  3. Locate the Meeting ID and meeting link to your personal meeting. Share these with your meeting participants so they can join you in your personal meeting session.
