In order to add a passcode, set up WSU wireless, or email you'll have to first enter the "Settings" screen, followed by the specific category, as shown below.

Once in the "Wi-Fi" section, slide the selector to turn Wi-Fi on (if it is off), and select "warrior" from the network list.
Enter your WSU user name and password in corresponding text boxes, and press "Join," which will be in the Return key location in the on-screen keyboard.
An unverified certificate will immediately appear; this is asking if you trust the WSU network, so press "Accept."
The iPad will now automatically connect to the WSU network while on campus.

From "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" select the top option: "Add Account..."
Personal email accounts may be added as well, but to use your WSU email, select Microsoft Exchange as the account type.
Enter all your information, put "winona.edu" under the "Domain" category, and hit "Next."
It may take the account a minute or so to verify; once verification is complete, be sure "pod51011.outlook.com" is entered in the "Server" category. Proceed with the "Next" button.
Set the options you would like out of "Mail," "Contacts," and "Calendars" to ON, press "Save," and the email setup is complete.

Under the General section, select "Passcode Lock."
Enter the top option, "Turn Passcode On," and another window will appear asking you to set the code. Pick a four-digit number that is easy for you to remember, but not obvious to others.
Re-enter the passcode when prompted, and the iPad will now be passcode protected.

Apple restricts use of technologies required by products like Adobe Flash Player. Until Apple eliminates these restrictions, Adobe cannot provide Flash Player for the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

OneNote 2010 can be synced to your iPad using an application called MobileNoter.

Evernote is another note taking application that can be used on the Apple iPad.
