Samsung IDs are required to download applications from the Samsung Apps store. Google IDs are required to download applications from the Google Play Store. This article describes the steps in creating free Samsung and Google IDs.
Creating a Samsung ID on Your Samsung Tab 2
A Samsung ID is needed to download any applications from the Samsung Apps store.
If you are creating a Samsung ID in configuring your Samsung Tab 2 device, it would be best to create it on your laptop. Refer to Creating a Samsung ID on Your Laptop below.
Creating a Samsung ID on Your Laptop
Creating a free Samsung ID on the Web is fast and simple. Go to the Samsung web site and fill out the form.
- Select Sign Up from the top right of the page.
- Enter your personal information into the form. Include your birthday, this will be used to help identify you in case you forget your password or your Samsung ID becomes disabled. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and click Continue.
- You will receive an email at the address you selected as your Samsung ID. Check your email to verify that you received it and click the Verification Button to activate your account.
Creating a Google ID on Your Samsung Tab 2
You will need a Google account to access the applications in the Google Play Store. If you already have a Gmail account or use Google Docs or Google Drive, you already have a Google account. Access to your Google account is controlled by a Google ID and password, the same ID you use to create Gmails or access Google Docs or Google Drive.
