Nursing program will be using Adobe Connect for virtual office hours, small group meetings, and for student presentations. This programming is designed to provide faculty and students with the resources they need to conduct meetings in Adobe Connect. Specifically, from the materials below, you will learn how to create an Adobe Connect room, conduct a meeting with students and others so that they can complete virtual group work, and then integrating this recourse into D2L Brightspace courses to make the process of communicating virtually as easy as possible for you and your students.

1) Connecting and Conducting a Webinar in Adobe Connect Adobe Connect is a full-featured web conferencing tool that can be used on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. It supports video and audio over the Internet, document and screen sharing, and more. It is web-based and does not require the installation of any major software application. Meeting hosts can create meeting sites or rooms using the Connect Manager, provide access to those rooms through a URL, and then use the tools available in the room to facilitate engaging online meetings with anyone in the world via a web browser. The following article provides users the directions for testing your browser version, Internet connection, and Connect Add-in are up-to-date and directions for accessing and using this system successfully. 2) Building a Adobe Connect Meeting Room The process for students and faculty to create meeting rooms is the same now and the following documentation covers the process of building your own Connect Meeting rooms for group work and team collaboration.

3) Promoting Participants to Presenter and Host The promotion of Participants to Presenter or Host status allows for more control of the room and functionality you might want for members of your class or groups. Adobe Connect has four levels of participants and are descibed in the Meeting Roles & Permissions resource. Additionally, the following links cover more detailed directions for promoting participants.
