Access VoiceThread from Brightspace

Students can access VoiceThread from Brightspace using links added to the Brightspace table of contents by their instructors. Select a link to travel to the corresponding VoiceThread location or activity. If you do not have a VoiceThread account, it will be created automatically the first time you select a VoiceThread link in Brightspace. VoiceThread is integrated with Brightspace and students do not need to sign in to VoiceThread separately.

Types of VoiceThread links

Instructors can choose which types of VoiceThread links to add to the Brightspace table of contents and there may be several links to different elements of VoiceThread.

Homepage - A link that will take you to your VoiceThread homepage, where you will find all of the VoiceThread activities shared with you as well as the activities you created.
Course view - A link that will take you to the collection of VoiceThread activities shared with everyone in this course by your instructor, you, and your classmates.
Specific activity - A link to a specific VoiceThread activity.
Graded activity - A link to a specific graded VoiceThread assignment.

Submitting a graded assignment

Instructors determine the type of graded assignment, selecting from three choices: Watch, Comment, and Create. Students select the link to the assignment in Brighspace and follow the instructions.
