If LockDown Browser quizzes are copied into a course shell from an existing course, they must be updated before students can take them. The updates are done "under the hood" by Brightspace and the LockDown Browser, but the operation must be manually started by the teacher.

Updating copied quizzes

This operation is only required for quizzes that were copied into a course from another course. You will not need to use this procedure for quizzes that are created new in the course.

After you have successfully copied the quizzes into the new course shell, follow these steps.

  1. Go to Assessments >> Quizzes.
  2. Click the LockDown Browser tab at the top of the quizzes window.
  3. It will take some time (as much a minute) for the quizzes to load in the window. As they load, they are being updated behind the scenes to be compatible with the new course.

That is it. All done.

This procedure only needs to be done when pre-existing quizzes are copied into a course.
