Microsoft Outlook Add-Ins
What is Office Outlook Add-Ins
Add-ins for Outlook extend the usefulness of email by adding information or tools that you can use without having to leave Outlook. There are several add-ins that are available to use. Some of these features may already be enabled and ready to use on messages you receive and will be triggered when the criteria that is set is met. If you want to disable any add-in, you also have that option.
How do add-ins work?
When an add-in is enabled, your email messages are scanned and the add-in is triggered when certain words in the message are found. If the add-in is triggered you will see an add-in bar at the top of the message with the add-ins listed that apply to the message.
