Notability
About Notability
Notability was developed for the iPad by Ginger Labs. Notability powerfully integrates handwriting, PDF documents, typing, recording, and organizing of notes. It allows you to freely share through the integration of many other tools such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Email, Twitter, printing and so much more. You can use this app to capture notes on PDF documents during class, workshops and other get togethers.
Many students here at Winona State will begin using their iPads for taking notes during class. Notability is the perfect app for that. You will find Notability to be easy for its functionality, note organization system, and ability to detect a stylus.

Important Backup Information
When setting up your Notability backup (Settings>Auto-backup>Google Drive (example)) be sure to set the correct format for the type of files you have created. The default setting here is *.PDF. If you are taking notes with audio be sure to set this format to "NOTE". If you leave the default and it saves as *.pdf the audio will not be saved with the file.
