WSU wireless network
The WSU wireless network is a new campus wireless network available to WSU students & employees. This network is a certificate based network.
It is currently available on all current university leased MacBook laptops and the HP 24 model. This network will appear as WSU on the MacBooks and WSU-User and WSU-Device on the HP 24 model.
This network is also available on personal mobile devices (laptops, iOS devices, & android devices).
Android
1. Open a web browser on your phone.
2. Type in or copy paste this link exactly, or simply click on the link: https://cloud.securew2.com/public/02770/WSU/
3. Once the webpage loads, make sure it detects the system as an Android and Step 1 appears as Google Play Store (App) and select Download. (Fig 1)
4. The Google Play Store will open. Select Install. (Fig 2)
5. A Microsoft login page will open. Sign in using your StarID@go.minnstate.edu (students) or StarID@minnstate.edu (employees) and StarID password.
6. Once you are signed in the below image will appear. Select Save. (Fig 3)
7. Go into your Settings and connect to the WSU network.
iPhone
1. Open a web browser on your phone.
2. Type in or copy paste this link exactly, or simply click on the link: https://cloud.securew2.com/public/02770/WSU/
3. Once the webpage loads make sure it appears as an iPhone/iPad. Select the Sign In button. (Fig. 4)
4. A Microsoft login page will open. Sign in using your StarID@go.minnstate.edu (students) or StarID@minnstate.edu (employees) and StarID password.
5. Once you are signed in the below image will appear. Select the JoinNow button. (Fig. 5)
6. Select Allow. (Fig. 6)
7. Open Settings and go to Profiles. You can search setting for Profiles, as shown in Fig. 7 below.
8. Select VPN & Device Management. (Fig. 7)
9. Select the Winona State University under Configuration Profile. (Fig 8)
10. Select Install. (Fig 9)
11. Open up Wi-Fi in Settings. Select WSU. Your phone should connect.
