About Brightspace updates
D2L issues monthly updates to Brightspace. The new versions are installed system wide and are done in the overnight hours to minimize impact to the user community.
In general, updates contain fixes to bugs and minimal new features.
Release schedule
New Brightspace releases are available on the third Thursday of each month.
What is in each new release?
Each month, an announcement is posted in the Brightspace homepage that lists the new features in that release. Additionally, an email containing that same information is sent to the members of the faculty.
