LinkedInLearning for Admins

From WSU Technology Knowledge Base
Jump to navigation Jump to search

As a LinkedIn Learning admin, you can recommend, or share links to learning paths or collections that you create or use expert-curated learning paths from LiL in course work or for job development goals.

You can create as many learning paths or collections as you'd like with multiple courses, sections, and descriptions to truly customize your learner's experience. From the Admin Account Center, select Content and then Learning Paths or Collections.

  • Learning paths are a series of courses and videos that you would like your learners to take in a sequence.
  • Collections are a group of courses or videos that do not have a particular order.

Faculty and employees at WSU can contact TLT@winona.edu to have their account upgraded to Learning Admin permissions.

Recommending vs Sharing learning paths or collections

When you recommend content you can recommend to a group, this allows you to quickly recommend courses or learning paths to everyone in the group at one time. Sharing is when you just want to get a shareable link to use for your collection or learning path. The shareable link works well if you want to insert a link in a D2L module.

When you recommend courses or learning paths, your learners will be notified by email. Learners may also access all of their recommended courses once logged into LinkedIn Learning by clicking on their profile picture in the top right of the page and then click From Your Organization. Here they will find their complete list of recommended courses. Learners can reference this list to get to their recommended courses or they can save the Collection to one of their own collections by using the Add to collection. If a Collection of Courses/Videos has been recommended then you will have to open the collection and Save or Add to collection from there.
