Including CogBooks content in your Brightspace course
Create the External Learning Tool
- Within a D2L Brightspace course, go to Materials and select the Content tool.
- Click Existing Activities and then select External Learning Tools.
- Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window and select Create New LTI Link.
- Complete the fields in the window.
- Type in the title of the content topic.
- Paste in the URL that links to the CogBooks content.
- Click Create and Insert.
- Once you return to the main Content window, click the little downward-facing arrow after the name of the topic you just created. Select Edit Properties In-place from the menu.
- Check the Open as External Resource button.
- Refresh the page and click the newly created link to open the CogBooks content.
Grade sync through CogBooks
CogBooks will send grade values back to the D2L Brightspace gradebook automatically after a student has completed the assignment and has reached 1% progress in the course. Only one grade value is returned for the entire CogBooks course.
